Upgrade package UWP 3.0
Upgrade your old controller to the latest series.
Get the opportunity to get a User Interface on your Phone, Ipad, Computer, yes everything with a browser, do data logging, and keep an eye on the temperature in e.g. the house. Replace your old dimmers in the board and you can use LED bulbs as well as set the dimmer level from the phone etc. Open protocols such as BACNet and Modbus are part of the new controller. Possibility of energy meters and data collection, etc.
With 3000 pcs BH8-CTRLX, 4000 pcs. BH8-CTRLZ, and almost 20,000 pcs. G3800XX controller running today, Carlo Gavazzi has developed the new SH2DUG24 bus module, so that with a new controller, you can replace all the older controller types, without having to change other components in the installation. In this way, we offer our customers an upgrade of the existing installation, without having to replace the entire system.
On the latest controller, you can set up to 7 pcs. bus modules, thereby greatly expanding its existing installation very easily.
Product description
Dupline® generator Type SH2DUG24 The master channel generator SH2DUG24 has a channel generator output for one "traditional" Dupline® network in a smart-Dupline® system controlled by the Sx2WEB controller.
Together with a UWP 3.0, it replaces a BH8-CTRLX-230, a BH8-CTRLZ-xx or a G38x0xx master generator. Each UWP 3.0 can be connected to up to seven master channel generators (the sum of SH2DUG24, SH2MCG24 and SH2WBU230 is 7) and thus form seven Dupline® and smart-Dupline® networks.
All devices are connected via an internal bus if they are in the same cabinet, or via terminals if they are mounted on different cabinets. Each SH2DUG24 must have an address that must be programmed using the smart-house (Sx) tool.
Lighting control in the home
Carlo Gavazzi offers a large selection within lighting control in private homes. Here you can read more about the situations in which you can use itlight control.

Day and night setting of light
Exterior lighting can be activated automatically depending on the daylight. This can also be combined with a clock function and motion sensor. Imagine that the outside light automatically turns off at night and only turns on when there is movement. With time-controlled lighting, you can use the automatic clock functions to switch on lights at fixed times of the day. It is also possible to switch lights on and off at fixed times during a holiday period.
Night light
From a light switch by the bed, you can e.g. turn off all the lights in the home with just one touch, but e.g. keep the light in the corridor dim. You can comfortably find your way to the children's room, bathroom or the fridge, if you want, without getting a "light shock" or tripping over strewn toys.
Frames adapted to your style and your interior are available from your electrical installer or electrical wholesaler.
Simulated living
When you are on holiday, the house takes on a life of its own. The system can record your daily on/off rhythm for selected lamps in the week before you go on holiday. The system can then play the on/off rhythm when you are on holiday – so the home looks lived-in. Dark areas around the home can be lit up automatically if someone were to enter the property. It therefore becomes difficult for outsiders to determine whether someone is at home or not.
Garden lighting
At nightfall, garden lights are switched on automatically at low power, e.g. 40%. When movement is detected by the PIR sensor located at the garden path or driveway, the brightness is raised to a higher level, e.g. 80% or 100%. After a period of inactivity, the light dims back to a low level. The lighting is switched off automatically at a pre-defined time - for example midnight. Of course, it is also possible to set the brightness manually or disable the automatic function. With the help of sensors and built-in clock functions, the smart house can therefore ensure that outdoor lights are always switched on when they are needed and at the same time ensure minimal energy consumption, as the switch-on periods are continuously adapted to the current light and weather conditions.
Lighting scenarios
If you want specific lighting for watching TV or lighting for cleaning, you can pre-program various light scenarios so that you achieve the right lighting with a single touch. The programming is very simple. You simply set the brightness of the various lamps as you wish, and simply press a button to save the lighting scenario.
Wireless control
To increase the flexibility of the installation, you can use wireless light switches or remote control, so that the location can be changed according to need and life situation. Do you want the operation from the sofa? Contacts at a child-friendly height that can be moved as the child grows? Or perhaps you want to mount on glass surfaces, brick walls or other places where permanent installation is otherwise difficult? Wireless products are also a particularly good solution for renovating existing homes. With one of these remote controls, you can control any function in your home
Motion-controlled light
In some places, it can be practical to control the light using motion sensors, such as in the utility room. When you have your hands full of laundry, it's nice that the light turns on automatically when you enter the room. Motion-controlled lighting can also be used to switch off in rooms after a period of inactivity – e.g. in children's rooms.
DALI master
With Carlo Gavazzi's DALI master, previously advanced lighting controls are now made easily, quickly and cheaply. Together with the Smartbuilding controller, it forms a powerful platform that is programmed from the same tool, i.e. no use of additional software and decentralized programming of devices.
The Smartbuilding controller handles 7 DALI masters and each DALI master handles 64 ballasts in 16 groups. The system can handle lighting control in any size building and combines Dupline bus and DALI flexibility in an efficient way.
Benefits DALI master
- The Dali Master can be installed centrally or decentralized depending on needs and connected to 230VAC.
- Built-in DALI power supply.
- Can be programmed with the same software as the application, thus easy maintenance.
- All data is available on BACnet.
- DALI actuators and Dupline sensors provide a great degree of flexibility.
- Cost-effective compared to traditional installation.
